The show "One Day at a Time" has not been on in years, but I am here to confirm that it was a show where you knew for positive the characters got spanked. Julie and Barbara(Mackenzie Phillips and Valerie Bertinelli) were definitely spanked by both parents growing up. In one of the early episodes their mom is trying to get them to go to bed. They whine and say they don't want to go to bed. Then their mother, half joking and half serious, pops her hands together and declares, "You're not too old to be spanked!". With that they run to their bedroom. In another episode their mother is telling them how good their father has been to them, and one reason she gives is the fact that he gave them a "good spanking when you needed it". In a much later season Barbara remembers how her mother once gave her a spanking for putting apple cores in the clothes basket. She says this was when she was five years old. This show no doubt gets your spanking interest going because you know for a fact the girls were spanked. Their parents believed in it. In another episode Barbara is sleeping on the couch on her stomach. Her mother wants her to get up so she gives Barbara 2 or 3 firm swats on her behind. Barbara says ouch and reaches her hand around to cover her bottom. Also, in one episode Ann, the mother, gives a good paddling(ON-SCREEN) to a boy who is living with her.
