Sometimes I'll take pity on these miscreants toward the end of their spankings and cool them down a bit by gently massaging their bottoms with a nice big fat ice cube or two.

Thing is, I might as well toss those ice cubes into a pot of boiling water for how long they last. Nonetheless these ice baths do succeed in making the playing surface nice and cool to the touch.
