Many years ago before I became very old I was a photographer taking audition samples for a centrefold magazine in London, then my work was not really good enough for the actual magazine so I had a lesser job. At that time,way back in the sixties, the few successful girls who were published got a small fortune for showing all their bits and pieces, one appearance in the middle would buy them about three houses and a sports car so you can understand that many queued up for test shots.

Most of the time I only had about 30 minutes to set them at ease and take about 72 shots. The first thing I had to do was to make sure that they understood exactly what was involved and then make sure that they could be totally uninhibited, able to relax in front of the camera and follow directions. Most of the time they needed a fair bit of direction, many girls under about 23 have no idea how to get undressed in a sexy way in front of the camera, if left on their own they slip several layers off all at once. Another area where they need a lot of help is in touching themselves in an elegant but highly provocative way so that they still remain very classy; it can be done but sometimes it is hard work.

They usually been asked told to arrive wearing loose clothing such a skirt and blouse. I would start by having them stand in front of me, just a couple of feet away, then I'd ask them to show me their legs, I could learn a lot about them from the way that they did this. Next I would ask them to undo their blouse and so on, soon I would have them in bra and pants. With the majority of them they seemed to become quite aroused by being directed to gradually undress, this would be confirmed later when they were fully nude and posing for revealing shots, they were either quite damp or very wet. I'd usually keep the last dozen or so frames for a special sequence that was used a lot in the magazine, I would persuade them to masturbate in front of the camera, they were usually so aroused that it was never took very long for them to reach a full orgasm that made incredible pictures. Later when I went out on my own as a freelancer I would use similar techniques but I had much more time, sometimes nearly a full day on test shots and several days for the final session. I was using a manual 2¼” camera so there was no chance of rushing anything. I would get to know the models much better and could develop ways to encourage them to pose the way that I wanted but more about that later in another thread.
