How do you like spanking?

I plan to post a few polls. These serve mostly to satisfy my curiosity, although I am a writer and do hope to also write some spanking related stories or novels so some of the polls may later be used to model characters in a story after.
I asume everyone on such a site likes spanking (although some may be here just for the pretty pictures

) but for both spankers and spankees what really does it for you? Do you like the discipline and punishment? Do you like the erotics and or the thrill? A combination of both? Should spanking be sexual? Should it be strictly non-sexual?
There is no right or wrong answer and I would ask participants not to get down on others for their preferences please. To each his or her own. In the end what is important is that we get what we want out of life.
