Yes, yes. I'm sure it's a purely academic question, Amber.

In my case my choice would be to "...lean close to whisper in their ear of what will happen later at home." I'm not going to create a public scene, or do anything to publicly embarrass her unless she was really out of hand. Based on my experience, in the real world, getting entirely out of had is not something that occurs often, and a quick response to straighten up after a whispered warning is frequently effective.

Good question. It would really depend on the situation. More often than most, saying "Wait until we get home" only encourages MORE naughtiness. I tend to give that quick "I want your attention" swat. That's usually enough for the spankee to realize that if they DO keep being naughty, I have no compunction about applying more swats right there where we are.

And THEN.....he doesn't follow through! All that lead up only to be disappointed!

In a serious situation, he wouldn't even have to lean and whisper....all he'd have to do is give me a look.
