What's your opinion about corner time ?

This is one of those questions where there is no right or wrong answers, but falls according to preferences and what works and doesn't work.

In my case, I'm not a personal fan of corner time, but do use it on occasion for one reason or another when I think it has some benefit or, in the case of play, some desire by the bottom.

That being said, I highlighted the above quote to just illustrate how one can take totally oppositve views on something. In my case, I would tell the spankee that if they are NOT rubbing, then I must not have done the job well enough and it's time for another round. I also consider rubbing to be a little sign of more complete submission, if you have someone who has a defiant mind and wants to not rub just so that she doesn't show a reaction (or as little as possible).

I have two real life friends, one younger and one elderly, who met a few years ago because they had been good friends online for a long time. They met for a weekend at a hotel between where they lived (both drove a good distance). Both were lacking some rest, and after downing a couple of bottles of wine while she was across his lap they BOTH fell asleep!

The only thing that surprises me is that they admitted it! The story gets told around now at an event that we both attend each summer.

I can very honestly say that I have never dozed off during a spanking on either end! Thank goodness! I have wanted to sit down while doing corner time, but knew that was a very bad idea...I don't think Dr. D would like that very much!

I have gotten bored with a spankee in corner time, so then I usually just usually spank them some more!

I can think of many things I might be doing while standing in the corner- like humming tunes, counting all my least favorite implements in my head and how to either get rid of them or escape them, making faces... but I've never been sent to the corner-guess I'm not as naughty as some people here seem to think I am, lol.

I have to agree with Veronica there are some very positive uses for corner time before, during and after a real discipline/punishment session. It is usually a spot where the spankee has time to contemplate what is coming and then a place for them to go get themselves calmed down before I take and give them a nice long hug.

i have only been put in the corner "professionally" when i was working as a pro sub and the client put me in the corner as part of the session and since work is work usually i really appreciated corner time because the clock was ticking and you didn't have to interact so much with someone you were not nuts about. I woudl think corner time woudl be good if you are dealing with a guy who is shy or has soem intimacy problems and wants to masturbate after he spanks you

It's great to see you here on the forum Clare Corner time being used for "pleasure time" by the spanker, lol. I can think of many things they could be doing while that clock is ticking...With my luck Tom would be taking that opportunity for sanding another paddle !
