Being the product of Irish Catholic upbringing, I can say that Holy Mother Church has quite a reputation for corporal punishment. Certain sects and orders practice mortification of the flesh as atonement for original sin. (Not a common practice anymore but they are still around) and of course who among us "wafer eaters" can forget the nuns and the rulers.

You show me a Catholic kid who never got his knuckles rapped and I'll show you an Episcopalian.

With all the school girls who show up at BU parties I've been of half a mind to dress up like a priest and deal with all the naughty ones.....I'm not sure how many extra decades I'd get in purgatory but hey.....I'm willing to risk it.

Could someone keep an eye on the situations vacant ads in the Dallas / Ft Worth area I am looking for a job as a priest. I have been scouring google looking as well, thats why I haven't been on line for a bit.
