For all of us oldtime tv sitcom spanking buffs: Which tv mom do you think would have given the hardest spankings? June Cleaver, Carol Brady, Shirley Partridge, Barbara Douglas, Donna Stone, Angela Bower or Ann Romano?

i don't think any of them gave spankings so that would be hard to tell. I agree with Poppa_Mark i would much rather see them spanked rather than see see them spank one of their screen kids although i do have to admit your stories where Carol spanks jan and marcia on brady bunch and where Anne spanks in one day at a time are great to imagine.

You're right Poppa about Carol not spanking anyone, But can't one imagine? Every time I watch a oldtime sitcom I can fantasize about spanking. So many situations come up that would reward a spanking! Thinking back, probably the last actual spanking in a tv sitcom was back in the 50s. My Little Margie and the People's Choice come to mind. In which I've heard there were 3 during the run of The People's Choice! 2 given to Mandy (Patricia Breslin) But I've only seen one. And the third with Mandy spanking a teenage girl played by Carla Merey. .
As far as the hardest spanker fantasy goes, I would give my vote to Who's The Boss? Angela Bower.......I hear she packs a mean hairbrush!

hi sammy, i have been away and have not checked the forum recently. I think ann romano would be the hardest spanker as once when she threatened her daughters with a spanking and their behavior changed right away and she did paddle a boy in one episode. As for ones i would like to see spanked Laura Petrie and Kathy Williams would be my fovorites and i really think Kate Bradley would have been the hardest spanker and wouldn't you just love to see Billie Jo, Bobbi Jo and Betty Jo in some serious otk . have a great 4th of July everyone.

Hi Jim; You're right up my alley about Kathy Williams (Marjorie Lord) She was my biggest fantasy spankee! She was threatened to have that shapely bottom smacked on 4 different occasions during the run of Make Room for Daddy. But sorry to say, she just received one bottom pat (Not even a slap)by Danny.
There was an episode of Petticoat Junction where the girls did get spanked but not on camera. As I recall Kate was angry about the girls not doing chores or somethig like that? And layed the knitting she was doing on a table and I think? reached up for Bobbie Jo saying something about teaching a lesson. Then in the next scene showing all 3 girls in their room. With Bobbie Jo & Billie Jo laying on their stomachs over the bed. While Betty Jo stood softly massaging her bottom referring to her mom as Spankingstein! Does anyone remember the exact circumstances of that episode?

yes i do remember the episode on PJ, but i have tunnel vision as it happened so fast i just remember the part you refered to (spankingstein) was a great visual reference. Although Angela wielded a mean hairbrush i would like to see her on the recieveing end OTK with her bare behind bouncing under the hairbrush's dance.

First I had heard of the Petticoat Junction spanking. Wonder if there is a clip of it anywhere. Those 3 were certainly spankable. And there certainly was a of spanking references in the show PJ was spun off from, the Beverly Hillbillies.
This is not from the period people are talking about, but one TV Mom I would have loved to see give a spanking is Kristine Sutherland, Buffy's Mom. Would have been great, one of the times Buffy sneaked out of her room through the window, to have found her Mom waiting in her room with a hairbrush when she returned.

I might think that both Chip & Ernie of My Three Sons, would have eagerly taken a spanking from Barbara (Beverly Garland) their shapely step-mother!

Poppa you're sure right about that. Those tight slacks could take some time peeling down! But I bet Al would do a sloppy job of spanking her.

Also in the Dick Van Dyke Show it was said that she spanked Richie when he needed it.

It has been said that the strict Angela Bower of Who's The Boss? chastised her son Jonathon through his high school and college years. And to her chagrin, Jonathon aways had an erection when climbing over her long lap. Inwhich Angela worked the hairbrush extremely long and hard. Quickly erasing his period of enjoyment to her satisfaction!

Carol Brady spanking Marsha would have been good, or Mrs. Partridge spanking Danny.

Shirley Partridge spanked Danny off-camera with a hairbrush in one episode that I remember. He told the gossip mongers all aabout Keith and Mum was mad and took him out to the garage. He came back rubbing his bottom. ouch.

i frequently thought of the partridge mom spanking me when i was growing up because she was the closes one to my own mom personality wise - who definitely gave plenty of spankings herself.

does anyone remember a black and white show similar to "dennis the menace" in which there was a blond haired, older daughter who towards the end of the show ASKS her mom for a spanking - after which the father and son are shown wincing as you hear the spanking take place off camera?

i almost want to say it was father knows best - but i cannot find it for the life of me on the web, and it was simply ADORABLE!

Elinore Donahue was the older child on Father Knows Best, but she waa brunette. I've been racking my aged brain about this one, but can't think of a blonde older child. Unless it could be Shelley Fabres of The Donna Reed Show? I can't recall any spanking that she received......But that doesn't mean it didn't happen!
And yes, Danny was the perfect one to go over Shirley's shapely lap.He asked for it on nearly every episode!

well.. while all of them certainly deserved one from time to time, i think it was the girls who needed a good dose of their mothers unyielding love the most.

as far as the black and white spanking - i also have racked my brain for countless years over what show this was.

i remember seeing it, and it was actually long enough ago that i was still getting spankings myself - and i remember being embarrassed as mom was watching the show with me. embarrassed to the point that i remember the warmth crossing my face as it turned red.

but the thing i also remember is how authentic and positively adorable the "scene" was... the girl had been warned about something early in the episode, and then during the episode had done several things wrong and due to this had a very guilty conscience.

mom recognized her daughters behavior and emotions for what they were, and suggested a "good old fashioned spanking" but obviously the daughter wasn't in agreement.

then as the show drew on, and daughter became more and more unhappy with herself, she made the very adult decision to tell her mom "i think i probably better get that spanking now" to which mom was *more* than happy to comply.

we see them in the kitchen at the end with the pretty blond haired daughter going over her mothers lap in a skirt with either a slipper or a hairbrush in her hand (it was an american film, so i am guessing hairbrush) and then the very loud sound of a spanking going on as the daughter protested loudly and mother scolded as father and son sat in the den wincing over what they were hearing her get - i think maybe the father made a comment similar to "i sure wouldn't have asked for that..", with his son nodding in agreement.

anyways...

there was also an episode of gidget where one of her friends bent her over the back of the couch and spanked her - but that didnt hold a candle to the show described above in cuteness..

I cannot say that i remember the spanking that you described, but most of it sounds like an old Blondie movie (i think Blondie in the Dough)where a friend of Alexander's asks Blondie (mrs. Bumstead) that she never knew her mother and feels that she needs a woman to put her over her knee and give her a good spanking now and then. You do not see the girl going over the lap, but you do hear the spanks and someone (cookie bumstead i believe) says the line i would not have asked for that. As for Gidget the one you described was Gidget (Sally Field herself) getting bent over a couch and getting spanked by her sister and brother-in-law in trying to get them back together. The other great Gidget show featured Brooke Bundy as a swedish exchange student getting spanked by her boyfriend (walter Koening who later went on to be mr. chehov in Star Trek) i can't say i remember any spanking given by the mother to daughter in any show that i remember, but it does sound exciting.

Jim to the rescue. I had thought that it could be a movie, and a Blondie one would sound accurate! As there was a Whole lot of Spankin' Goin' on in the 40s cinema! But that website you posted didn't have it, unless I missed something?

Getting back to Blondie in the movies. Penny Singleton who played her was a slim, shapely lady that could double as the spanker or spankee. Penny looked great in those World War II clothes (short, flared skirts & frilly blouses) It was easy to imagine her over someone's knee. But whom? Dagwood was too stupid to give Blondie "A Good lickin'"

yes she was certainly spankable and while Dagwood is not the brightest bulb in the box for some reason she does love him and i always think a husband would gladly have a wife otk if she would want him to spank her for being naughty. Also another show just surfaced and while my source does tell me there was a spanking in this show it is hard to verify as it said that it was shot live on consecutive days and was regional at that and that it followed a lot of shows from that era where tape was considered too expensive so they taped it then erased it a few weeks later to put a new one on the tape (reuse). The name of the show was Meet Corliss Archer and it was a movie series featuring Shirley Temple( Kiss and Tell) and this was the tv version that was in 1951-1952 on CBS.

That would be Gidget and that episode title was something like Gidgets Gadget. It starred Peter Duell as the brother-in-law and the other actress was supposed to be Gidget's sister Ann. The classic line was" you can do whatever you want to me as long as you do it together" and of course they bend her over the couch and whale away with the sister saying something like "this is togetherness, dear" while Gidget (Sally Field) winces under the onslaught of spanks. But this also asks the question how many girls in sitcoms were spanked? i remember many spankings in westerns (Big Valley; Lancer: Temple Houston; Death Valley Days; Wagon Train; Father Murphy; Bonanza) to name a few and i remember several threats or like the episode in Petticoat Junction as an after spanking, but i cannot remember any other than Gidget in sitcoms anybody got any thoughts?

Watching several Brady Bunch episodes before football yesterday. One caught my mind as being a prime example of why "Tv Moms should spank."
Jan trying to be elected "Most Popular Girl" in her class made dozens of false promises just to win votes. Then when elected Jan immediately began to renege on her promises. I would think it should be Carol's family duty to take a cheating Jan into Mike's den for a good Old Fashion, skirts up, panties down Hairbrush Spanking. This would certainly be a good deterent for the kids, to follow in Jan's devious ways!
