Good thoughts and prayers needed please
Hello everyone. I wanted you to know that Black Velvet is in the hospital. He called
me late last night. He went into ER with trouble breathing and a deep troublesome cough. After they ran all the tests, they put him in isolation room and all the hospital personnel wear masks around him. They told him he has influenza, but that is not really saying much of anything. I will be calling him a little later today to see how he is doing. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers during this frightening and difficult time. |

I know I have only been on here a short time but we have been discussing UK comics over the last few days and I feel he is one of worlds nice people. Billy |

Update On BV
Hi everyone. I just spoke with BV . The bad news is he has pneumonia and influenza. The good news is that he said they are both treatable with antibiotics.
They will be transferring him to ICU tonight and then see how things are going in the morning. I have told him of your well wishes and will continue to keep you updated as I talk with him. |

Latest update on BV
BV is still on oxygen and in ICU. Now they are saying he may be moved to a regular room tomorrow. He is feeling better physically, however his mental state is not so good. He is not sleeping much and has nothing to distract him, so he is bored on top of everything else. He sends his love and thanks for all the well wishes!

Please tell BV that I plan to curse, drive my car much too fast, and procrastinate until he is well enough to do something about it. :rolleyes: Maybe he'd be less bored if he thought of all the naughty bottoms out there misbehaving because he isn't available to redden their behinds. I think he should rest while he can because he'll have his work cut out for him when he's back on his feet. :D |

Being ill really sucks. He even sounds worse then I've been and I hope hes ok.
Hope he gets better soon! Sounds like he's had to deal with alot health wise. |

Monday Update
As of 10 minutes ago, BV is still in ICU. The doctors can't seem to agree on when to move him to a private room. *Rolls eyes* Doctors! {I work with 18 doctors, so I know of which I speak! *LOL*} He sounded a lot better tonight. Someone gave him a newspaper, so that helped a wee bit. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he gets into a room with a tv soon, 'cause he is close to going stir crazy.
He again sends his love and I know he can't wait to get back here to catch up with all you lovely people! *hugs to you all* |

Tuesday Update
I am on the phone with BV and he is still in ICU...his nurses say his oxygen is normal...Huzzah! He said between now and midnight his time (I'm in Las Vegas), he may be moved into a regular room. He sounds great and says physically he is fine...just bored out his mind. He is really antsy...what a surprise. If they can't get him into a regular room by midnight, he is hoping they will just release him tomorrow. I told him not to hold his breath but we will keep our fingers crossed.
Soooooooo, there you have the latest. *Smiles* I read to him from the this board last night and he was laughing at what some of you had to say. I know he is so grrateful for all your love and warm wishes and he can't WAIT to get back here to visit with you all! May I add, thank you for being there for him as well as allowing me to be a part of this wonderful group of people. It makes me happy that he has so many good friends here. *hugssssssssss* |

He is going home
I'm on the phone with BV and he is waiting to be discharged as we speak! He is thrilled as I am sure we all are. He sounds wonderful and so very relieved! I am sure you can expect a visit from him sometime soon!
